Amidst congratulations and protests, the ousted governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been announced as the new Emir of Kano following the death of his predecessor Ado Bayero who passed away recently. Rumour had it that the son of Ado Bayero was to become the new Emir, but it has been confirmed officially and witnessed by the governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso and four kingmakers from the Kano emirates.
